As promised – more pictures and what I can remember from our #marvelouswinesafari last Sunday.
The awesome Gemma from &union organised this marvelous way to spend a Sunday.
At 9am 15 wine lovers, a cooler box full of &union beers and a bunch of pastries climbed into a tinted window minibus taxi and departed for Mulderbosch.
On the farm winemaker Adam Mason walked us through the winery and we tasted Rose from the tank and Chenin Blanc & Cabernet Franc from the barrels.
A wall of wine!
Adam and his xmas tree…
Textured walls, from years and years of red wine inside the old concrete tanks.
W.O Swartland, they know where to get the good stuff… Paardeberg!
Photographer Jon on top of things.
Lunch, by Peter Templehoff, the first meat I ate in three weeks (confession!!)
Partners in crime – Lila and I.
Biltong of origin Swartland. They know where to get the good stuff, Paardeberg!
Boules tournament… round one.
On the way home (well on my way…)
Thanks Gemma, &union, Mulderbosch, Adam and Peter… so much fun, over delivered, worth every penny. Keep an eye out for the next one, follow Gemma @andunionwine or on Facebook (some of Jon’s pics there).
