East Side Gallery, Berlin

My first day in Berlin started on the East end of the Berlin wall, where the East Side Gallery = 1.3km of the original Berlin wall, covered in inspirational art by artists from 23 countries. First painted in 1990 – a year after the fall of the wall – some of it was touched up in 2009 and lots of it is vandalised by useless name scribbles and graffiti…

But, there is still some wonderful art. like:
